Cooperative Agreement

A cooperative agreement between a project team and NASA establishes a framework for the parties to work together to accomplish the objectives of the project. NASA financial obligations under this framework consist of a sequence of "milestone payments" linked to the accomplishment of significant project milestones, called "payment milestones".

As warranted by developments in information technologies and in the area of K-12 education, objectives of subsequent payment milestones and NASA obligation (milestone payment) towards their accomplishment can be changed by agreement between the parties. All such change must be consistent with the objectives of the CAN and must not increase total NASA financial obligation under the the cooperative agreement.
